Spouse & Partner Visas

We handle spouse settlement and family reunification for the UK, Canada, Australia, USA and Europe. Our lawyers prepare the complete file โ€” proof of genuine relationship, sponsor eligibility, and accurate documentation โ€” to avoid refusals.

United Kingdom Spouse Visa

To apply as a partner, you and your partner both need to be 18 or over. Your partner must be a British or Irish citizen, be settled in the UK (indefinite leave to remain, settled status or proof of permanent residence), have pre-settled status having started living in the UK before 1 January 2021, hold a Turkish Businessperson/Worker visa, or have refugee status or humanitarian protection. You must intend to live together permanently in the UK.

UK โ€” What You Need to Prove
You must prove a marriage recognised in the UK, a good knowledge of English, and that you can financially support yourself and your dependents. If you don't meet these requirements you may still apply where you have a British/settled child in the UK, where relocating together abroad would cause very significant difficulties, or where refusal would breach your human rights.
UK โ€” How to Prove Your Relationship
Send evidence from a government body, bank, landlord, utility provider or medical professional that confirms your relationship and is less than 4 years old: marriage/civil partnership certificate, joint tenancy or utility bills, joint bank statements, or doctor/dentist letters confirming a shared address. Greetings cards, travel tickets, photographs and social media messages are not considered strong evidence.
UK โ€” Length of Stay & Children
You can stay 2 years and 9 months on this visa, then apply to extend. Children can be added as dependents if they are under 18 (or were when first granted leave) and do not live an independent life.

Canada Spousal Sponsorship

You can sponsor your spouse, partner or dependent child if you're at least 18, a Canadian citizen or permanent resident (citizens abroad must show they plan to live in Canada when the sponsored person becomes a PR), not receiving social assistance for reasons other than disability, and able to provide for the basic needs of those you sponsor. In most cases there is no income requirement to sponsor a spouse or partner.

Canada โ€” Sponsoring a Partner Living With You in Canada
Under the Spouse or Common-Law Partner in Canada class, the sponsored person must be the spouse/common-law partner of a Canadian citizen or PR and hold legal immigration status. They may be eligible for an open work permit. Leaving Canada can cancel temporary resident status โ€” if they cannot return, a new overseas sponsorship application is required.
Canada โ€” Sponsoring Dependent Children
A child qualifies as dependent if under 22 and without a spouse/partner โ€” or 22+ where they have depended on parents financially since before 22 and cannot support themselves due to a mental or physical condition.
Canada โ€” Documents Required (Applicant)

  • B-form/birth certificates of children
